Three little discoveries I made myself.
1: a cool trick with skim milk. This only works when you have about less than a third of skim milk in the container. Shake it. Shake the container good. Do a little dance in the kitchen. You know what you get? You end up with the top half of the milk turned into the same foam they top cappucinos with. That is why cuappucino makers recommend you use skim milk. They were not kidding when they say it's eaiser to foam.
2: Those little single cups of Bluebell ice cream(I'm nost sure about any other brand) they sell are perfect for ice cream soda's milkshakes and making pie ala mode. To get it to slide out of the container runn it under hot water for a few seconds. The ice cream slids out with little shaking.
3: to prevent molding keep your pita bread in the freezer. When you are ready to use it for lunch take a piece, sprinkle it with wate, put it on a microwave safe plate and nuke for thirty seconds. It puffs up! After you slice it in half you can fill it with stuff...and because it puffed up it's easier to fill. You don't have to constantly pry the edges apart.
