Our Trip

As usual we woke up before the ass crack of dawn on Saturday the 11th and drove to Florida one go, only stopping for gas, bathroom breaks and food.

Kaitlin was upset less this time than the previous times. We did make the mistake of stopping for Denny's as she pitched a huge fit.

Got to the Value Place and and they thought we were due for check in on Early Saturday Morning, not Sunday. That got straightened out since my father kept the paperwork that said we were due for early Sunday. After fixing that they gave us the Internet cable for free.

My mom had been recovering since her hospital stay last May. She has to be on oxygen. She has lost a lot of weight and doesn't have much of an appetite but she says she is recovering and I believe she is getting better.

Spent a lot of time watching TV. My parents have channels we don't so Kaitlin got to watch the HUB.

When we first walked in Kaitlin was a little scared of the dogs barking. Will held her while I went to the room that was once my bedroom and pulled out a large box from the closet. That box contained my old G1 My Little Ponies: There were adult ponies, baby ponies, unicorns, pegasus ponies, Earth Ponies, Sea Ponies, Flutter Ponies that had their wings broke off, so soft ponies, twinkle eyed ponies, glitter ponies, etc. There were also some other toys in their including some Fashion Star Fillies, and these birds that can perch on your finger and had long brushable tails...forgot what they were called.

When Kaitlin saw them she instantly calmed down and played with them. So we spent a lot of time watching TV and playing with ponies.

Sunday Night we had take out from a barbecue place that was close to the Value Place. Monday we had Stake N Shake.
Tuesday. Kaitlin spent some time with my parents and my brother while Will and I went to the Florida Mall. I haven't been there since 2005. To my dissapointment they replaced Barnie's with a Starbucks. To my shock and happiness there was a walk in Lush store. I got my goodies and Will got to get new ear pieces for his Oakleys at the Oakley Store.

Wednesday night we went out along with my brother and his new girlfriend, Mary and she is really nice. She didn't mind when Kaitlin climbed over Will, and Buster to get to her plate and grab some of her broccoli. She was happy to sare some of her broccoli with Kaitlin.
After dinner we went to Michale's because I want to get some flock to use on some of the old so soft ponies. I couldn't find it but we did get a Make it and Bake it Suncatacher of a unicorn that Kaitlin wanted...and a package of rainbow bacon.

Thursday mom and I had sushi for lunch and after she took me to the Barnies on the Loop where I was able to get a bag of Santa's White Christmas.

Friday was day we just relaxed and Saturday we left back for Texas after a delicious home made breakfast that my dad prepared. He cooked the bacon in the oven and made scrambled eggs in a cast iron skillet.

We stopped in Ocean Springs Mississip for the night at a Best Western Plus...not long after grabbing dinner at Wendy's. The Room was a bit cool, but I sleep better in a cool room and we had breakfast in the breakfast room before we left on Sunday. We drove through a lot of rain and I just had to get some Cracklin and a pecan praline before we left Louisanna at the tourist info at the Texas border we were bombarded with a thick cloud of love bugs. I also saw a couple of raccoons and we all saw a crane that Kaitlin referred to as a duck. After that we continued until we reached home.
