Made it safe and sound to Orlando last night.
We woke up way before the ass crack of dawn at 3:30 in the morning and did the last minute loading in the car before we woke up the baby, changed her diaper and strapped her into the car seat.
We drove off towards I10 well my husband did. Kaitlin and I fell asleep with me right next to her in the car. I woke up around as the sun was coming up and Kaitlin woke up around six after we made a bio break stop.
Not long after that we stopped at a McDonalds for breakfast where we got McGriddles and I had a caramel mocha coffee drink. We also got an extra hashbrown cake thing for Kaitlin to nom on in the car and she made a big potato mess on herself.
We didn't reall stopp until we reached Tallahasse many hours later except for bathroom,diaper and fuel. Kaitlin fussed a lot but I pacified her with her dragon toy or her seahorse toy, or a bottle, or a teething cracker, or an unused diaper...yes she is fasinated by her own diapers. Just pull one out of her bag and she will be entertained for hours.
In Tallahasse we stopped at a Cracker Barrell for a sit down meal and Kaitlin got her baby peas. I the eggs in a basket meal. They take two slices of sougdough, cut a round hole in the middle of each one and cook an egg in it. I ate that with bacon and fried apples.
After we got to Orlando we stopped by my parents place and followed my dad to the place the got for us for the week which is a apartment/motel hybrid but they office was closed on Sunday and so we got to sleep at my parents place in the back room with Kaitlin.
Today we arrived at the place at our room is quite nice. It has a real mini kitchen with a working stove top and a normal sized fridge. We fed the baby and I tried to nap but got only a few minutes of sleep. Mom came around with some food for us...including Cuban Sandwiches. Oh nom nom nom. I missed these.
Dad came around with more food...including a flat of Yoo-Hoo.
