Since we both work nights and we will be working on Tuesday we celebrated my birthday tonight.
We went to a place I have never been before but really wanted to try. The Melting Pot. We had the four course meal.
We started with the cheddar foundue. Nice and rich and perfect for apples, veggies, and breads.
Then came our salads. Revel had the house salad and I had the California salad. Nom nom iceburg and spinach greens with bits of tomatoes, crumbled stinky cheese and nuts.
Then came the main course. We had the fusion. Two kinds of beef, chicken, sausage, shrimp and lobster tail. We cooked it in the broth along with the veggies. Silly us fondue noobs. We were using one fork at a time instead of cooking three at a time. Oh well.
Then dessert. We had the flaming turtle. Hmm chocolate, caramel and nuts and they do make it flame. We dipped pound cake, brownies, cheesecake, rice krispe treats, marshmellows and strawberryies and slices of banana.
Oh god that was delish and since we added a donation to St Jude's on our bill we got a 20 dollar gift card. I'm thinking anniversary gift for my parents with that.
