While I was on break today these three guys with a large box came inside our place of business and went up to me and try to sell their crap while I was trying to eat.

I explained this was the break room and the one guy tried to get me to try some perfume that smelled like some designer knock off. No these were not the notorius perfume sellers since they had other kinds of crap in their box.

I told them I was not interested despite how they tried to get me to be interested. I used to be one of the top sellers in getting people to sign up for the Kohl's card wehn I worked their. You cannot BS a BSer.

They asked if there were other people in the building and I told them they were busy.

They said the would come back later.

After I finished eating I warned my supervisor about them.

Seriously, who comes into a break room and try to sell crap to people on their break?

Is it normal for people just to be able to walk in off the street at your place of business? I don't know whether you're working in an office or a store where people come and go... but either way, if the break area is for employees only, someone needs to be paying better attention to the security.

This.

Plus, if I were on my break in a room where I could be alone, I would be IN THE FACE of someone wasting my rest time. If I want to shop on my break, I will. GTFO.

Apparently they are getting more bold. I've read how the pushy perfume sellers are entering places of business in both [livejournal.com profile] customers_suck and [livejournal.com profile] bad_service communities.

I work in a call center where the building is in a shopping center.

Jeez. Management needs to get serious about security before the next group of people that just walk in walk back out with someone's property or try to stick the place up. I'd be really concerned these folks were just using the "we're selling stuff" thing as cover for casing the place.

How'd they get inside to pester you in the first place?

Sounds as irritating as the people who leave the religious comics in the bathroom stalls at work. That has been my pet peeve for years. I am sure Jesus wouldn't preach on the pot.
