I made my first home made crock pot beef stew. The beef was already cubed and I just had to chop the onions, potatoes, and carrots, and add the broth and the spices.

Made a rookie mistake of plunking in too many onions. I managed to remove a good deal of them and put them in a ziplock and into the freezer. I will use those for chili next time.

I also didn't have any worcestor sauce, but I did have some A1. It turned out quite tasty and filling. Next time I will add just a bit of cornstarch to help thicken the broth.

We are caught up on House. Just finished the fifth season a few days ago and watched what we got on DVR. Booger was in the season premier, and the last episode we got some shirtless Chase.

I still want to see House and Cuddy get it on for real, of course my big wish would be a House/Cuddy/Wilson threeway, but House and Cuddy is just more likely.

MMMmmmm, homemade stew... *wipes drool off keyboard*

My hubbie often uses dried onion flakes in his homemade soups and stews. Mostly because our daughter, litle Miss Anti-Onion, doesn't object to them that way, but they do cook in a lot faster than raw onion, while flavoring the stock just the same.

I should try that.

I remember hating onions when I was a kidlet. They tasted too hot as in spicy hot to me, now I like them.

I will not be surprised if House's German girlfriend from the season opening shows back up mid season. Maybe once House and Cuddy start trying for a relationship again. Overall I think there would be a lot more action at Princeton Plainsbourough if they would just add "The Todd" to their staff.
