Ok whats that called when another customer thinks you are an employee of a place?

Cause that happened to my husband. He went to Kimko's to send a fax and he was wearing his Gargoyles pullover and someone asked him how much it cost to print something. He answered the questin and theguy asked. "Wait don't you work here?"

Well not anymore he doesn't, not in the Kinko's area anyway.

I don't know, but years of retail must have left their mark, because I get it periodically in all sorts of random places.

I think customers instinctively know a retail employee (current or former) when they see one, even if they're not in uniform. I guess it must be something about how we hold ourselves or something (we look like we actually know stuff about the area we're in).

I had bed hair, unshaven and a gargoyles pull over hoodie. I wasn't sure at first he was talking to me but I looked up and sure enough he was staring at me, asking how much black and white copies cost.

"uhhhh I don't work here, but I think they are still .08 cents."
