Woke up before nine and we went to Revel's parents house. His folks had a little damage at one corner of the outside of their house caused by termites, carpenter ants, and weather.
1. First we used hammers and crowbars to strip off some of the siding. The damage went through some of the insulation and into the actual wood.
2. His mother and I had a girl moment when we removed one of the big stripes of siding. the inner part was covered with carpenter ants. We gasped and dropped it.
3. Sprayed flea spray on the ants, had little effect.
4. Removed the damp insulation and insulation paper and removed the rotted wood.
5. His father placed a treated 4x4 into the are where the rotted wood was. His mother put on wood putty.
6. We went to Home Depot for more siding, and insulation and then to Walgreens for drinks and snacks.
7. Had lunch. Revel's mother makes a great tuna sandwich.
8. They replaced the insulation and put on foam covering and used duct tape to hold it in place.
9. Put on the first strip of siding. After the first secure screws were put in Revel's mother and I worked on putting on the shutters, only to stop to hold up another strip until more secure screws were put in.
10. His father noticed that two rows were too low. We unscrewed and removed the strips and then put them back on right.
11.All worked on getting the last strip cut right so it would fit underneath the window.
12. Cleaned up.
13. Ordered Chinese food and watched the Oscars. Well we watched Babwa's special first cause Harrison Ford was on it and Harrison to his mother is like Johnny Depp to me. The fact that Harrison was presneting was the only reason she wanted to watch. I only wanted to watch because Jon Stewart was hosting again.

There was a 'special' music video with Kimmel and Ben Affleck with a wonderful cameo by Harrison Ford XD! (http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,26278,23277398-7485,00.html) That link should have another link to the YouTube video of that X)!
