in a nutshell what the above rant is about. Young girl has crush on Orlando Bloom. girl has Legolas poster. Girl hadn't read LOTR or seen the movies and writes an LOTR fic centered around Legolas.

Hello the point of fan fiction is to write for a movie/TV series/ Books/ ETC that you are a FAN of.

I feel like a certain gargoyles pr0n writer is the same as the girl above.

Even though I'm not a fan of LOTR, the principle of that rant annoys the hell out of me, as well. Gah. Some people!

To be honest, I found the girl's honesty refreshing and unpretentious.

There are no real rules to fanfiction. And since it is free and not-quite-legal and supposed to be for fun, then if a girl who likes Legolas/Orlando Bloom wants to write a LOTR fic just based on him, then she should go for it and I hope she enjoys herself.
