We been watching my Outlaw Star DVD's...and I can plainly see what they have cut out from the version they aired on CN, Gene grabbing Iris's butt, Fred's jokes, Gene pulling Melfina on to him, toning down the cursing.

Watching it uncut, it's pretty good for a dub. It has several of the Cowby Bebop Dub Va's. the Jet's VA does the opening narration and Faye Valentines is Suzuka.

I can remember waht I loved about it when it was first on Cartoon Network, I also remember why I don't get the Melfina/ Harry pairing.

There WASN'T a Melfina/Harry pairing. Harry was obsessed with her because she was a cyborg like him, and that was about it really. Melfina felt nothing for him, and he didn't really feel anything for her, he was just sorta obsessed with the cyborg girl, like him.

Outlaw Star really needed a second season. The cast was assembled, the chemistry set up, and the initial character arcs taken care of, a second season coulda rocked and been like Slayers NEXT and been really awesome. Alas, no, we got Angel Links instead. Same universe... none of the cast overlapping.

some people write the Harry/Melfina paring or they prefer that paring to Gene/Melfina.

I just don't get that, but then again there is a group of people who like Jayne/River in Firefly/Serenity.
