Saturday-- Woke up at dawn. Got dressed and carried down our suitcases and stuff to Hyena. We left the house at seven. Couple of hours later we reached Beamont and got some Mcbreakfast. Hmmm iced mocha and bacon and egg mcgriddle.

We decided to drive through New Orleans this time. Autumn was impressed by the way the graveyards were with the elevated coffins.

Cruised through Mississippi and Alabama while munching on snacky foods. Autumn made some My Cousin Vinnie jokes in Alabama.

After we reached Pensecola we searched for a hotel. The Days in was sold out, but the Marriot wasn't.

The room was worth the price. There was a sleeping room and a living room. Two beds, Two TV's, sleeper sofa, fridge, microwave and kitchen sink.

We got a couple of Pizza's from the Florida Pizza Kitchen (Yes just like the California version). We ate while watching Dead Man's chest. Then we took a walk on the beach.

OH MY GOD It's full of stars. You could see everything. The constellations, shooting stars, sattelights. It was so beautiful although staring at the ocean's horizon at night can give you some tunnel vision.

After the walk we stopped by the bar that was next to the pools(The hotel had three of them plus a hot tub) I had a virgin daquiri Yum. After we returned we climbed into bed.

Sunday. Woke up at dawn again in the hopes that we would see some dolphins out at sea. No dolphins but the sunrise over the ocean was breath taking.

We had breakfast in the dining area. Where they had muffins, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, grits, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels and waffles. It was setup kind of neat. You take a paper cup that was full of waffle batter and poured it into the waffle iron. That morning I had some eggs, a banana, a waffle, a muffin and a cinnamon roll.

Returned to the room, changed into my bathing suit, loaded up on some sunscreen and the three of us returned to the beach. Man what a difference this is from Galveston. Instead of shells the size of a thumb they were some that were as big as my hand. The white sand was so nice and soft instead of the gritty mud and sand mix and the water was so clear that when the waves reached my chest I could stare down and see my feet, and mor shells, and fish. Oh yes I got to see some fish swimming around my feet. After a couple of hours we returned to the hotel to get ready to go to the zoo.

The zoo was temporarily closed. DAMN.

Went back to the hotel and I decided to swim around the pool. The pool was bit cool but I got used to it fast. My husband joined me and we swam around a bit before he got into the hot tub and sat down. I can have warm baths but not hot so I just sat on the top step and soaked my feet and legs.

We returned to our room where I took a nice shower and got out all that salt and chlorine from my hair.

That night we went to place called Crabs We Got Em and we got seated outside to enjoy the breeze while we eat. I had the deep fried seafood platter. Fried flounder, oysters, shrimp and cocount shrimp with fries and slaw and garnished with a stuffed crab and a slice of watermelon.

Came back and after a few things I went to bed around ten.

Monday. Woke up around seven, after breakfast we packed up everything and checked out. Got some gas and made our way back home. I slept through Alabama and most of Missisippi, but I was awake for Louisianna. We drove through the French Quarter and stopped at a gift shop wehre I got my father four pack of hot sauce. Then we stopped by close to a cemetary and Autumn went to take some pictures.

We got home around nine
