ER Redux

I was in the ER again. This time closer hospital and this time with insurance.

I was coughing, gasping, and wheezing. Inhalants weren't working. Hubby took me to the ER and after my first breathing treatment and changing into the gown (I got to keep my pants on.) I was taken via wheelchair to one of the rooms. I got prepped for an x-ray and got a shot up my butt.

The nurse even asked if I would rather have it in my arm or in my booty, yes she said booty. I asked which would hurt less and she said that since I'm skinny I should take it in my booty. The shot didn't hurt that bad...and she said I was skinny.

While waiting for the doctor I was coughing up lung goo and besides the nasty yellow color there was some pink...that color should not be coming from my lungs, ugh I was coughing up a little bit of blood.

Talked with hte doctor. I have bronchitus, wonderful. I guess it could be worse. It could have been pneumonia, or TB.

I got my second breathing treatment and after that I napped for a bit. I was awake for most of the night.

Talked with the doctor again. Since I was still wheezing I got a third breathing treatment and three prescriptions. Two were what I got last time and the third is some antibiotics.

I got discharged, and after Will paid for it we went to Wal-Greens dropped off my prescriptions and got food and after got my meds.

Oh, get well(er) soon. I can't help wondering if this was something that was brewing at the time of your prior episode but was overlooked.

I'm not sure if it was brewing. I was hit with a headcold a few days after the first time.

Eww. Yuck. I had bronchitus once. I remember breathing through my mouth and hearing foamy noises, and heaving up frothy lung shit a couple times. *huuuuallch*
