I Love the Gathering

"Cheesy Vagina's!" Revel was playing GFA4 and that is one of the things that gets shouted out. I kid you not.

I am so addicted to VH1's I Love The: shows. I remember watching them and wondered how they were going to handle this decade in 2010.

They didn't even wait that long. This week has been I Love the New Millenium. Razor Scooters, Segway's, Bushisms, Ipods, Youtube, Pirates, Hobbits, Spiderman, American Idol, Wardrobe Malfunction. 9/11 was handled well, focusing on America holding hands and pulling through.

I think I just love those commenters, especially Michael Ian Black and Hal Sparks...even if Hal needs a haircut.

Shift has been cancelled, on the bright side that does give me more time to pack. I have to wake up Early tomorrow for an Early flight to Chicago.

This decade is the "Aughties", actually. It amazes me that the darn thing is nearly over and no one has figured out we can be saying we're living in the "Naughties. Someone will figure it out in 2011.

Hal Sparks is really looking alot like Bill Paxton ala his role on Near Dark.

So The Gathering is in Chicago the same weekend as Wizard World Chicago 08? You could hit both conventions on the same weekend.

Rosemont, it used to be the Rosemont convention center. Now it is the Steven Douglas Convention center. Usually if there is a major convention going on in Chicago they are all within 15 minutes of each other. Youtube Wizard World Chicago to find fan videos of the the past events. Really is a whole lot of fun. Friday is usally steady busy, Saturday will be insane-tho it is the best time to go if you want to see the guests and costume goers, Sunday is a bit slower since most of the major guests leave (good for dealer markdowns though).

It was at the Hotel Orrington in Evanston. I think it may be a bit far out from The main part of the city.
