I'm starting to feel a little better.

Weather is dreary today, cold and rainy and everything looks gray and yucky.

I was in the mood for a burger and some Mac and Cheese last night. I cooked up a pot of the Velveta Rottini with Brocholi and fried up a burger until it is well done. When tex_garg came home I fried him up a couple, except I cooked the second one until it was between rare and medium. When he took a bite there was a little too much juice. I nuked it for a minute and the combination of the juice and melted cheese liquified the bread. Ooops.

He made a bit of a blunder himself. I ate around six thirty he came home around eight thirty so he had to rehead the the mac and cheese, except he turned on the wrong burner. The one he turned on had his plate on it and ended up braking the plate, and ruined a strip of bacon.

So we both made blunders.

We also watched Stardust. Fun flick. I saw the ending way ahead. I did not predict the humour and the boobie jokes. I loved the ghosts and Captain Shakespeare.

Probably going to end up Netflixing Cloverfield. Revel doesn't like the shakey camera look. It gives him a headache. Same thing happened with Blair Witch. We have running joke that the monster is Manbearpig.

The camera shaking is at it's worst in the beginning as the operater was learning to use it. None of the audience got up an left from what I could tell. I think they were so curious to what was going to happen next that they could handle it. I actually heard people saying " OH my god" at the end.

Stardust is a a lot easier to guess the ending than in the book. Because the opening part of the book, the first third or so, was cut down to like the first five minutes, so there was a lot more stuff going on than just getting some action. Plus, without the visual cues of actors in costumes, and also just simply reading (which takes longer than watching a movie) the parade of characters is easier to forget about the details on. So the one offhand line about "our sister being missing" passes by a lot easier than it did in the movie and stuff.

So, same telecast plot twist of lead character being a prince, just harder to track in the book.

That would explain it. Thank you. I wonder if my father has read it, if not, he will probably want to read it after seeing the movie.
I also knew Tristan and Yvanne would end up together, but only because of the bickering at the beggining ala Ron/Hermione, ala the Anime couple rule.
