Parents just called.
Pongo took his last breath a few minutes ago.
He was old and they told me he didn't look well the past few months. They told me he was mostly skin and bones.
He was mostly dalmation with some lab mixed in, had a deep woof of a bark. When he was young he jumped and climbed over the fence in the back yard. My brother and I played this game with him at our pool. He would stalk us and when he got close we jumped in. The splash made him bark...he also climed down the steps and did a few laps himself.
RIP Pongo.

Date: 2006-10-29 08:59 pm (UTC)From:When a month passes and all traces of dog hair and pet beds are gone, then all of a sudden you smell Pongo's fur so strongly like you just buried your face into his fur. Then you know he is there to check up on you. Untill then, try putting one of Pongo's tags on your keychain or put a photo up as a desktop image. I know it helped me someone. I like to clink the dog tag on my keychain occasionally as it sounds like Dreyfuss is walking around.
