spacebabie: River Tam and James Norrington...used when I write crossovers. (Happy)
I just baked brownies and I added in pecan pieces (I still think of the time when Lain from the CR did not know pecans grew on trees) so I got to enjoy the chocolaty batter goodness from the bowl and spoon before the the place smelled like chocolate.

It's that time of year when I get the baking bug. I wanna bake banana bread, gingerbread, cranberry white chocolate chip cookies, rum balls, and thanks to Sluggy Freelance, chocolate chip pumpkin cookies.

The only problems: every year mom would make the banana nut bread from the mix and she would add in the extra bananas. I can't find any fruity nut bread mix. I may try the muffin stuff and just fill the bread loaf pan with it. (I'm a bad Good Eats fan.)

Everything else I bake from scratch...well let me correct that. The other cookies I bake from scratch. The brownies and panacakes I use the mix and add in the wet ingredients.

Thev other good news is that I updated my resume and Revel is faxing it for me at Kinkos...since we don't have a fax machine, and the add in the newspaper only gave the fax number.

Chocolate chip pumpkin cookies? Sounds interesting. Can you point me in the direction of that recipe?

Good luck with the job-hunting!

I haven't found the recipe yet. My favorite Web Comic put the idea of the cookies in my head.

This is what got me to wanting to try these cookies.

You go, girl! There's nothing like having something yummy baking in the oven to make the whole house smell great. And don't forget that the Internet is a terrific source for recipes. If you're looking for a certain recipe, or a certain variation on it, just do a search. The sheer number of choices never fails to amaze me.
