Writer's Block: 9/11

September 11 2001 and where was I.
I was up around seven thirty that day or eight and I went to fiddle around with my Sailor Moon fansite and I was working at making a few tweaks and changes and updates when My father turned on the television.
We watched in confusion and fear at one of the towers as smoke was pouring out of it and our jaws dropped in horror as tanother plane crashed into the second tower.
I had two things to do that day. Go to my Shakespeare class and I had a dentist appointment that day. I didn’t see anything on the UCF website about classes being cancelled and I didn’t get a call from my dentist so I went to class.
Dad dropped me off and as soon as I went to the door I saw the sign that said that class was cancelled that day. I nor anyone else was surprised. I called my father to tell him it was cancelled and I needed to be picked up and I decided to wait in the school bookstore/Starbucks where I nursed a caramel Frappucino and listened to the news that was on the radio. No one was talking everyone was glum. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many people hugging each other.
After I got home I checked a few message boards. I had friends in New York City and I wanted to make sure they were all right. All my friends were safe and everyone was shocked, scared, sad, and angry at who had caused this.
Dentist appointment went on without a hitch except there was not much to talk about.
I will never forget that day. I will always honor and respect those who had died both the heroes and the victims.
