I am wearing purple not just for the six boys who committed suicide because they could not endure the bullying due their sexual orientation. This is also for Phoebe Prince who committed suicide back in January because six girls bullied her over the fact that briefly dated one of their boyfriends.
THIS. HAS. Got. To. Stop! and by this I'm refering to Bullying. This isn't the "Give me your lunch money" sticking a kid's head in the toilet anymore. The forms of torment both physical and verbal that kids inflict on others are much more severe than that. This is what is driving kids to cut themselves and develope eating disorders and other psychological problems.
Schools and parents need to crack down on this behavior. Teachers and administrators need not to turn a blind eye to this crap. Parents need to adopt the following idea. "My child will not be a bully." If the bullying occurs on a place of business then employees should get involved if they can't say anything then they should alert their managers.
Kids should not be bullied because they are geeky, or have a disability, or of a different class, or race, or religion, or sexual orientation.
