Anyone crazy enough to go to the maul today, or Target where you happen to be the target, or to shove you against the Wal-Mart?

or did everyone say "Eff that" and sleep in?

"Eff that". Yet, I didn't sleep in. Mom had some exercise tape on really loud early this morning that woke me up.

Screw you, I work in retail! *LOL* It's ok, I got to go home early. ^_~

I got up, took my car in for an oil change, went home and back to bed. And that should hopefully be the only 'leave the house and spend money' activity I engage in today.

I was up at 2:30 in the morning so I could be in at 4 and open at 5. I had to man the Nintendo half of our game department for 10 hours. I have to be up by default. I still prefer it to sleeping in and having to close then worry about putting the store back together after closing on Black Friday.

sorry you had to be woken up that early.

oil change, auto parts store, gas station, and grocery store are probably the only ones I would go shopping in.

I went out to 'git 'er done'.

And mostly succeeded in that.

I'm glad you are safe at least. I heard about the Wal-Mart employee that was trampled and the shootings at a Toys R Us in California.

Sales going on through out the month. I'll probably get the rest done next weekend.

I hate the mall on a good day, so you bet I said "Elf that!" and slept in.

shootings
Wait what?!

I didn't bother putting the news on when I got home. WTF did Toys R Us have for a doorbuster that warrented a shooting? I blame Wii Fit madness. Wal-mart was desperate to make sure they claimed sales. They broke Black Friday rules about price matching other Black Friday competitors. They were matching other company ads. Customers may like it, but they don't understand that it basically destroys all hope for what little margin is made on Black Friday. You can't make back that margin it pretty much nulifies your sales for the day. You may have just as well stayed close.

I woke up early and braved the roads to see a play in Indiana. The Black Friday sales were great for me...because the traffic was easy sailing. :D

What play did you see?

Yes, I actually woke up at oh-dark-thirty and made the Teddy Bear Man take me to a strip mall, to buy a specific pair of running shoes advertised at 40% off at a specific store, namely Sport Chalet - I wouldn't be caught dead in Wal-Mart (whoops, that isn't funny anymore!) - then I bought the TBM some breakfast at Starbucks, then we bought some gasoline and some socks at the Navy Exchange which was Black Friday madness-free, but then we had to rush home because I was coming down with some stomach flu bug. :P

As I understand from the news here in CA, the toy store shooting had nothing to do with doorbusting or shopping or Black Friday, but was a private argument. The news said two women started fighting (not over a toy) and their husbands tried to break it up by shooting. The police wouldn't say if it was gang-related but I'm wondering what other sort of idiot brings a gun to a fistfight.
