Am I bad person for not being sad that Jerry Falwell is dead...and if so, does that mean Im a horrible person for being glad he is dead?

I'm only sad it wasn't Fred Phelps. ;)

Holy shit, he's dead? *looks on yahoo*
if you're a bad person, I guess I am, too. Though the TV specials and junk for him are going to last forever.

Jerry Falwell died from being too full of shit.

No, seriously. Severe bowel obstructions killed him.

By absolute coincidence today I happened to listen to an episode of "This American Life" with him in it. One shouldn't take joy in anyone's death, but he was a total ass. The world is better with him gone.

I am neither happy nor sad about the death of Jerry Falwell, which was part of the natural course of events.

However, I will say that I think he is in for a big surprise in the afterlife.

Jerry Falwell was a great American villain. While the passing of another human being should always be acknowledged with the proper respect and decorum, it's difficult not to feel relief knowing that he won't be spreading his messages of hate and sheer blasphemy anymore.
