I lopped off the top of the pumpkin and using an ice cream scooped out the guts and seperated the seeds and continued to scoop until my wrist hurt and then my husband took over.
He hates the feeling of pumpkin guts...really hates it. To me they do feel yucky but nothing on a squick level.
I drew on the face and my husband carved it out.
Pumpkins stink on the inside, but the meat of the fruit is so delicious when prepared right, and the seeds are also tasty.
